Under All India Hospital Post Partum Programme the hospital conducts family welfare activities at the the hospital and thorugh the volunteers in the rural area.

The Trust has carried out project on integrated approach for reduction of mortality, morbidity and fertility thorugh training, health education and primary health care for women and chldren covering a population of 2,50,000.

The hospital provides services to the rural people through trained birth attendants, female health volunteers, mahila mandals (women's organisations) and female adolescent groups. The primary health care services are provided to the rural folk especially women and children thorugh mobile clinics manned by a health team.

Mother Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO)



The pravara Medical Trust has been approved by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, as Mother NGO for implementing Reproductive and Child Health Schemes(RCH) through small NGO's.

The mother NGO is responsible for.
  1. Promotion of small NGOs to work efficiently in the field of reproductive and Child Health.
  2. Strengthening the capabilities of the small NGOs for small family norms, by awareness generation, increased use of contraception and family welfare education.
Under this Mother NGO Project the Trust has conducted two workshops - 'Sensitization of field NGOs on RCH during December 1998 and 'Project Formulation and Base Line Survey on January 1999.
