It was the strong belief of Padmashri Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil that healthy citizen can construct healthy society and good health can overcome illiteracy, ill health and ignorance. Padmashri Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil was a great visionary who founded a co-operative movement in rural area and dramatically transformed the society. He founded Pravara Medical Trust in 1972. The trust is engaged in providing heath and developmental facilities in rural area. School of Nursing was established in 2008 at Shevgaon to provide opportunity to children of the rural community of the area to seek entry in to nursing education and is progressing steadily. The school offers Revised Auxiliary Nurse & Midwife course, the duration of which is 1 ˝ years. The course covers all related topics of the study field and imparts rigorous training to the students. On qualifying the course, she is an active participant in improving the availability of and access to quality health care by people, especially for those residing in rural areas, the poor, women and children. The school is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and Maharashtra Nursing Council. Vision:-
About the School The school is located in the sprawling campus of Ayurved College, Shevgaon with all infrastructural requirements that are required to prepare a competent Auxiliary Nurse & Midwife. Laboratory : The school has equipment lab. Hospital: Rural Hospital –Shevgaon Hostel: The hostel has good living facilities and there is an attached mess. Staff: Qualified staff has been appointed to provide quality nursing education. Bus Service: Bus facility is available to take the students to different places for practical experience. Sports & recreational activities: The school fosters various sports and recreational activities. Students are given ample opportunities to participate in intra school sports events.
