Conference Objectives
- Address key issues related to equity, equality and empowerment in health - rural-urban, male-female, rich-poor, haves - have-nots.
- To promote dialogue amongst rural health workers, government, NGOs, UN agencies, national/ international funding agencies and other stakeholders for finding solutions on health issues with special emphasis on equity, equality and empowerment
- Provide delegates with opportunities to contribute to an Action Plan for "National Rural Health and Development Policy"
- Highlight and foster opportunities for innovative, comprehensive,
participatory rural health models that can be replicated.
- Launch national initiative on "Healthy Villages" and National Network on Rural Health and Gender Justice.
