He has passed out from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune during 1966 and did his Post graduation in Medicine from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal and Postgraduation in Community Health from National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, Delhi and Postgraduation in Hospital Administration from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune.
He has joined Armed Forces Medical Services in 1967 and held various professional, administrative and academic appointments during his thirty nine years illustrious service.
He has served in the Ministry of Defence as Director standardization and has been a member of Bureau of Indian standards for several years.
He has been Director of various tertiary care Military Hospitals and Director Commandant of Army Medical corps center and college which is responsible for training all specialists, Doctors, Nurses and Paramedical Personnel in various professional fields.
He has been awarded commendation by chief of Army Staff and Vishisht Seva Medal and Ati Vishisht Seva Medal for his distinguished services in Armed Force Medical Services by President of India. He is alumni of prestigious national defence college.
He has attended various National and International conferences and read and authored several papers.
After retirement from Armed Forces he has been Director General of Vikhe Patil Institute of Medical Sciences and responsible to establish various medical institutions. Presently he is serving as Vice-Chancellor, Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni.
