Pravara Institute of medical Sciences – Deemed to be University signed MoU with Medtec
Medizintechnik GMBH (MBST), Germany
MEDTEC MEDIZINTECHNIK GMBH, a company incorporated under the laws of Germany and
having its registered office at An der Hessenhalle 7, 35398 Giessen, Germany, hereinafter
referred to as “MBST” (which expression shall, unless repugnant to the context or meaning
thereof, be deemed to mean and include its successors and permitted assigns)
MBST is engaged globally in the research, development, manufacture, and institutional
deployment of MBST® magnetic resonance therapy systems, and has been involved in
academic and clinical collaborations with hospitals and universities in multiple jurisdictions.
MBST has expressed its intention to donate certain medical devices and therapy cards to
Pravara as part of its academic and institutional outreach, without any commercial
consideration, sale, or distribution arrangement.
Pravara has agreed to accept such donation and to deploy or effectively cause deployment of
the devices subject to compliance with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and ethical
standards.
The parties acknowledge that the devices may be utilized as follows:
• For promotion of community engagement in rural settings, knowledge sharing, capacity
strengthening, public outreach programmes and joint research studies, with the aim of
publishing the findings in relevant public journals, reports and presenting them at
appropriate events.
• For sports medicine and rehabilitation research, including for the evaluation of non-
invasive therapeutic approaches in relation to athlete rehabilitation and recovery. Such
use is intended to complement conventional physiotherapy practices and to support a
holistic approach to rehabilitation and overall well-being of athletes, including those
engaged in cricket.
• The designated Pravara facility will serve as a key referral centre for demonstrating the
efficacy and benefits of MBST’s innovative technology and therapy, while providing a
space for research, training and collaboration.
• Pravara will appoint and deputies, two suitably qualified members of staff for overseeing
the research collaboration, ensuring an effective management and reporting structure.
These individuals will be responsible for the operation and management of all
administrative matters, including the accurate collection and recording of all patient data
and documentation of the specific research and outreach activities.
